A little known but prized skill among the savage tribes of the forested isles is the ability to pick up a spear and throw it with one's toes. As peculiar as this might seem, it offers two advantages, that of surprise for those who haven't encountered this skill before and the surprising amount of force leg muscles can generate.
Although it takes a great deal of time to master, the superior power of the legs over the arms when combined with a backflip, or even when lying on your back (allowing spears to be cast even when prone) make the toe-throw a dangerous skill to face. Many a proud knight has been struck straight off the saddle by the heavier spears of toe-throwers, which make up for their short range by sheer weight.

True masters of this art have achieved a higher level, which lets them twist their whole body in a wave to add to the force of the foot throwing. This makes the throw slower, but more powerful again.
